A new survey shows that consumers often prioritise cost over speed when choosing delivery options, with 51% willing to choose cheaper but slower shipping alternatives. 38% were willing to take incentives for slower shipping such as account credit, 35% would consolidate multiple items into a single delivery. Fake review pages, offering to write favourable reviews on ecommerce sites in exchange for money or free goods are “flooding” Facebook, according to consumer watchdog Which? With thousands of positive reviews generated daily, the groups are also understood to be growing in popularity, with one seeing a 75 per cent increase in members to 10,000 by the end of July. Currys PC World’s augmented reality feature has now been rolled out across its ecommerce website for the first time. Point & Place AR, which can be launched by simple clicking a button below supported items, lets users manipulate an accurate 3D model of the item, and place it anywhere in their home.
