How do I get a quote for my delivery?
If your delivery is a standard parcel or pallet you can retrieve quotes using the search box on our home page.
If you are happy with a quote you receive you can book directly from the search results.

If your delivery is not a standard parcel or pallet you can place a request for non standard quotes here.
Here you will be asked to give us a brief description of the item, most importantly the delivery/collection location and item measurements. We will notify our transporters of your request and return to you with a number of quotes and service options for your delivery.

You are under no obligation to accept any of the quotes retrieved.

What happens after I add my delivery details?
After you enter in the delivery details, all relevant Transport Providers who are interested in your delivery will be notified and invited to submit a cheap quote. They are alerted because their preferences match your delivery in one of the following ways:

  1. The nature of your item being shipped (eg. a Yacht)
  2. Your location (e.g. Kinsale)
  3. The destination of your item (e.g. Dunmore)

If you change your mind and decide not to proceed, please remove your delivery request as soon as possible, this then saves the Transport Providers from making unnecessary quotes. You can delete your delivery details at any time by viewing the 'My Deliveries' page and clicking the delete icon beside the listing.

How do I accept a quote on my delivery?
Log in to your Scurri account to view your deliveries.
On the 'My Deliveries' page you will be shown each of your deliveries with their associated quotes. You can view the quotes for a delivery by selecting the 'quotes' button on that delivery. Use the 'accept' button on your chosen quote and follow the simple payment procedure to secure the job.

How do I decline a quote?
You are under no obligation to accept the quotes placed on your delivery.

How can I receive more quotes?
There is no special formula to make your shipment look more attractive but we do advise that you give as such detail as possible when listing your item/s. A Transport Provider is going to be more willing to quote if he or she has a clear understanding of your job in hand. Being flexible on your shipment dates will certainly help you improve your chances of finding a company going your way with room to spare. Also, be sure your shipment is in the correct category.

How do I ensure a Transport Provider is trustworthy?
Scurri aims to provide both customers and Transport Providers with a safe community where they can interact to mutual benefit. To ensure this we have created a feedback and recommendation rating system which will allow Transport Providers / customers to gauge how reliable another party might be based on previous jobs. All feedback scores can be viewed when you click on the Transport Providers name.

Please be aware that all Transport Providers are required to verify themselves. It is not compulsory to complete the verification process but a Transport Provider with an unverified status should always be questioned. All new Transport Providers signing up to Scurri will have a period of time (normally not more than one week) when they will hold an unverified status, Transport Providers that have been active on Scurri for more than one week and whose status remains unverified should be questioned. Always ensure you have checked the verification status of each Transport Provider before you accept a quote. This can be viewed on the Transport Provider's profile page and your 'view quotes' page found on your dashboard.

When and who do I need to pay?
Payment in full is required to secure a quote on Scurri and confirm the delivery. This payment is taken only after you have accepted a quote, not before. This can be paid either through our Secure Payment Gateway (all major credit cards accepted) or through Paypal.

How can I be sure my delivery will arrive in the same condition as when it was collected?
Firstly, Scurri advise that you wrap and pack your item/s as well as you can. This will alleviate the chances of your items getting damaged during the journey. Scurri also provides each job with a Delivery Information document to be used by both parties for your convenience.'

In order for us to provide you with the best competitive delivery quote, It is very important to know your item measurements.

Dimensions and the approximate weight,
Collection and Delivery contact name, delivery address and contact number.
